Hello.

I saved about 25 oz of 2124 lager yeast slurry a couple days ago. I put it in my mini fridge, and it accidentally froze sometime today. I would guess the temp to be around 30 ish...the beer next to the slurry did not freeze, but the beer on top of the slurry did freeze.

Anyone ever do this ? Is it worth saving at this point?

Make a starter with some of it and call it a day. Been there. There's probably a good amount of healthy cells in there, but I wouldn't use it straight into a new brew without a starter.

Wyeast has said that during shipping of their yeast, each freeze thaw cycle can cause a 10% loss of viability.
