I bottle harvested some Rogue Pacman yeast from a Shakespeare Stout. I used yeast nutrient and built it up to a 1500mL starter twice. I filled up my vials with the yeast and it has seperated into 3 layers. The bottom layer looks like the healthy yeast. On top of that there is a grainy layer of something dark brownish. On top of that there is a smooth dark brown layer. Are these still ok to freeze and will they be able to ferment out a starter. I'll try to post a picture of it later tonite.
