I am ready to keg a 2 1/2 gallon batch for a party on the 11th of Dec how
should i do this use priming surgar and then force carb it or just force carb
and let it set???Help!!

hook it up to the gas at around 15 psi and leave it for 2 weeks, you will be ready to go.

+1 on Set and Forget Cold (serving temp) method.

First keg I did the shake @ high pressure... wasn't happy. Tasted OK but the head was lifeless and it stayed a bit cloudy. by end of weekend it was clear and head was better, just as we killed the keg (served around 15 psi off a jockey box)

CO2 absorbs better into liquid cold.

Do you have a way of getting/keeping the keg cold until then? If so, what temperature will you be carbing at? What style is it? All of that plays a factor in what pressure you should be at. This calculator will tell you what pressure you should set it for while you force carb.
