Ok I'm just going to do a gallon and I'm thinking very simple
So looking at 1.25 lbs of mde made up of dark and extra dark DME about 50/50
Hopping with fuggles about 1oz at start of 1 hour boil and an other 1oz about 5 minutes from the end
Using Youngs yeast

Has anyone any advice like I said very simple

That's gonna make a hop head's delight... 2 oz in a gallon. Way too hoppy for me. If I figure it right it's over 110 IBU.

So you recon half the hops ?

.5 oz at the beginning and .5 at the end ?

Cheers

I'm sure it would work great but it's based on the US
So I'm not sure what my malt and yeast come up as being from the UK
But I believe your right and it would be very hoppy
I may cut back and do .5 oz but for 30 mins and .5 for 10 mins
