Well, I've been wanting to do a saison & also move from extract to partial mash. I noticed today that AHS has this Belgian Golden Ale kit ( http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_452_638&products_id=12897 ) on sale for $22 so I decided to get this as a partial mash... but I could help myself and ordered the Wyeast Belgian Saison 3724 yeast instead of the Belgian Abbey 1214 that the kit was designed with. I don't have any experience with either of these yeast so I don't really know what to expect. Do you guys think the Saison yeast will add too much fruit or spice flavor with this recipe?

the recipe includes: 5lb LME, 2.5lbs of base grain (not listed, 2 row maybe?) and 1lb of special grains (Golden Promise, Aromatic, red wheat). Also, Hallertau, Willamette Hops.
