Hey everyone im new to this forum thing so cut me some slack if i dont do somethin right. I just bought a brewing kit today and am pretty excited about it im gonna try an IPA. Will let you know how it goes

Nice, follow the directions for volumes, additions times, and cooling and pitching. Keep records of it all. I have gotten lazy and not been writing things down, now I wish I had. It can be trying but the goal here is to have fun and make beer. Its harder to mess up than you may think. The worst thing that likely will happen is you end up with beer! Good luck to you. :mug:

I agree completely. Detailed note taking is incredibly important. It helps your to replicate what you did right and avoid mistakes in future batches. I have two notebooks full of notes from every brew I have done over the years. I still reference them all the time when I'm trying to replicate beers I have enjoyed in the past. Notes notes notes.
