I've been lurking here for few weeks reading and learning.
My first brew is now carbed and drinkable......and actually tastes very good.
I started with a Cooper's Bitter kit (LME & yeast) and used dextrose (I know). The result is something I would brew again.(I'm on my 4th 500ml bottle now)
I reduced the volume to 19 L to fit my fermenter so it may be a bit less thin than it could have been, and I fermented it at a fairly cool temp. (19-20 C)
I am now hooked on brewing.
My next batch is light LME, amber DME, cascade hops and muntons ale yeast. It will be ready to bottle Friday.
Thanks for all the information.
Chad
