First Batch

Yesterday my wife and I bottled our first batch. An Irish stout. Had a small sip (couldn't resist), and it tasted good. Thanks everyone who helped with getting us started.

Congrats! I bottle my first batch on Sunday... trying to remain patient is hard lol.

Congrats indeed! And don't feel bad about taking a sample, that's the only way you can learn what your beer is doing. So long as you realize that it won't necessarily taste the same once its done, I think its the only way to go .

Yeah, definitely nothing wrong with tasting your wort or beer depending on the stage. I do it for every batch and definitely recommend it so you can get a feel (taste) for what's going on at each step.

Wow ! I wish my wife took an interest in brewing. Actually, I enjoy brewing better than drinking beer. I guess it's the "mad scientist" in me.
