Yesterday my wife and I bottled our first batch. An Irish stout. Had a small sip (couldn't resist), and it tasted good. Thanks everyone who helped with getting us started.
 
Congrats! But one is the lonliest number!

Congrats indeed! And don't feel bad about taking a sample, that's the only way you can learn what your beer is doing. So long as you realize that it won't necessarily taste the same once its done, I think its the only way to go :D.
 
Yeah, definitely nothing wrong with tasting your wort or beer depending on the stage. I do it for every batch and definitely recommend it so you can get a feel (taste) for what's going on at each step.
 
Wow ! I wish my wife took an interest in brewing. Actually, I enjoy brewing better than drinking beer. I guess it's the "mad scientist" in me. ;)
