So this is only my 2nd batch ever. My first batch I brewed on my buddies equipment then bought my own set up. His was a traditional 3 vessel system but I decided to go BIAB. It went really smoothly!
Went with a custom sized bag from brewinabag.com:
Tucked in the mash for an hour (but stirred every 20 minutes or so):
Used some ropes I had laying around to help get the bag out. I the set it on a strainer over the kettle and let it drain and squeezed some of the wort out of it:
Starting the Boil:
And finally draining into the fermenter:
Done!
I went with the "Hoppy Session Wheat" recipe from the "Braufessor" here on the forum. Smells great and I'm planning to dry hop tomorrow.
this is my first post on this forum but I wanted to say thanks to all of you guys. I've been lurking for quite a while and have learned most of what I know from here. Can't wait for the next batch!
