First batch in the fermentor

Friday I received the rest of my brew equipment and today I put it all to use. We had a rare sunny day today, so I used it to mow the lawn and then brew my first batch of beer. I did an American Hef extract kit from MoreBeer.com.
The only thing i'm disapointed with is while I was trying to eek the last bit out of my brew kettle to hit my 5 gallon line I got a bunch of the break material in my fermentor. I'm not real worried about it, but I may rack into a secondary in a few days so it can finish out not having to sit on that crap. Overall, it was fun and I finally got to experience all the things I've read about.

Thanks everyone for all the help, I gleened a lot of information off this site.

I just got my first bubbles! Nice thin layer of foam forming on top. Truly excited!!

Now if I could just time warp a month in advance, I could get that goodness inside me!
