A co worker of mine used to be big into brewing and held on to a few things when he stopped, thinking he would start again. Well, he finally decided to sell the rest of his stuff to me, and among LOTS of odds and ends, was a conical he had made. First batch goes in tomorrow:)

It's all stainless, I'm not sure where he got the conical itself but he built a simple stand out of a really big piece of PVC. It holds about 7.5 gallons total.

Nice! I just started using a conical. Ferm temps do seem to get a little warmer in the conical than in a carboy for some reason. I have have a Pale Ale with a nice banana flavor now because of it.

Now I want to build a fermentation chamber for it.

It's funny how this hobby can spiral out of control!

Have fun!

I have read that about the temp thing, though I don't know why it would be any different. Adjusted my ambient temp accordingly though.
