I brewed a Pecan nut brown ale this weekend and used white Labs liquid WLP002. After 60 hours there were still no signs of fermentation, no Krausen, no bubbles or anything. So I added in some safale s-04 yeast and within 10 hours I have signs of fermentation.. What do you think may be the effect of mixing these two yeasts? Maybe the first yeast was bad some how and wasn't working at all? Will this settle out and be a decent beer? Or should I be expecting an off flavor?

The production date of the WLP002 vial, whether or not you made a starter (and how big) plus the pitch/ferment temp all play a role.

If you have any off-flavors, they'll be from something other than simply adding the S-04 later on top of the failed 002.
