Hey all,

So here's my first batch and the concern I have. As most of you have read in the past (not sure the methodology name) I used two 8 lb bags of ice in my primary and 3 gallons of wort to create my 5-5.5 gallon bucket of goodness.

Please take a gander at my picture below. Is this how one week of fermentation should look? My concern is this...being in Arizona i saw my temps on the side of the bucket hit 80 degrees even though I keep my home at 73-75 in the summer.

I had a ridiculous amount of bubbling day 1/2....but now no bubbles. Is this to be expected? I pitched on Sunday 8/5 so we're in 1 full week. Sorry for blurry photo.

What is the buildup on the sides of my primary? While panic stricken, this looks normal.
