I have a chest freezer that I really don't use. I was thinking about getting a inkbird and using it for a fermentation chamber, mostly because I want to still be able to use it as a freezer in a pinch.

I guess I'm curious if it'll hold steady with just the inkbird plug and play controller? The freezer is in a temperature controlled room, so it shouldn't swing much.

The chest freezer might swing a few degrees but your fermenter shouldn't. I think the key is where you put the probe. If it just sits in the freezer then it will swing. If you thermocouple then it will swing less. Also you can use a pet lizard warmer to adjust for heat.
