feedback on modifying Janet's Brown

I've been thinking about making Janet's Brown ale for a while but I usually prefer my beers in the 5-6% ABV range rather than shooting for that "imperial" range. I made some edits to tone down the ABV and swapped out the carapils. I've never made a "hoppy brown" before, any thoughts on if this would turn out alright? I'll put the standard version (edited to fit my equipment profile) and then my alternative recipe below.

Standard Janet's Brown

Boil Time: 60 min
Batch Size: 5.5 gallons (fermentor volume)
Boil Size: 7 gallons

I think the ''standard'' version you have is actually the imperialised version.
As far as OG goes anyway.
