Hello everyone! The title pretty much says it all. I just brewed a 1.106 RIS fermented with US-05. Fermentation went pretty much as expected. I'm now planning my next brew, a 1.107 Wee Heavy, and considered reusing the yeast because I don't have any more US-05 on hand. I'm limited to dry yeast (even then, options are limited). I considered S-04 but I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to finish the job.
I know conventional wisdom says it's not a great idea but has anyone actually tried it? Also, not looking for a debate on the practice of pitching on a cake. Mostly interested if anyone has actual experience going from big beer to big beer like this. Not married to the idea, just considering my options. Thanks!
