- Tasting Notes
- Lots of Bannana, Bready, Yeasty deliciousness
6lb Briess Wheat LME
1lb Briess Wheat DME
3 oz melanoidin malt steeped @160 F for 30 min
1 Vial Whitelabs WLP300
1 oz Hellertau(3.9% AA) for 60 min
Bottled w/8oz Briess wheat DME (~3 volumes CO2)
Boil Size: 3.5 gal
Post Boil Volume: 3 gal
I used 1/2 charcoal filtered tap water and 1/2 unfiltered
Next to Schwelmer Hefeweizen, which I can no longer find and when I could costed ~4x the amount, the closest thing I've had to a traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen in the United States.
