Just brewed one. It is one of my favorite styles - a dark German wheat beer with banana and cloves. What's not to like?
Seriously, making a decent home brewed version is the way to go. I just used the recipe from Brewing Classic Styles(extract), fermented at 62, and it was outstanding.
As you can tell, I highly recommend it!

I went out on a limb as well and brewed one recently... As a result I've discovered I'm NOT a big "wheat" fan... My friends love it, though...

I am not a wheat beer fan for the most part but Dunkleweizen's are so damn good. MoreBeer's kit is one of my favorites. 6lbs of white wheat malt off set by 5lbs of 2-row... excellent!
