I've come across the opportunity to get my hands on some fresh wet Nugget hops that are being cut today. I was planning on brewing with some and dry hopping with the other. My question is will I be harming my beer if I throw in hops in fermenter that have been out in the wild. I assume that they will have some sort of "bugs" in them. The beer I'm thinking about adding them to is done fermenting and has a abv of around 6. Is that enough alcohol to kill off any infections?
Or should I keg the beer, add the hops to the keg and then put the keg in the fridge to stop anything from growing.
Thanks for your help

no worries with infection but you do have to use more wet hops than you would dry hops by a factor of 4-5, i think.
