Wanted to see what everyone else's experience was with using a stainless steel canister to dry-hop...

The few times I have done it, it seemed to me that there was decreased hop aroma in my pale ale. Brulosophy disgarees with me, but there you have it... I'm frustrated at dealing with all the hop trub when trying to transfer to my keg, so I'm thinking of using a canister again...

If any of you went from just dumping in the hops into your fermenter, to using a canister, did you make any changes?

Did you use more hops? Or let them sit in the fermenter for longer? Or both?

I'm assuming you arent cold crashing. If I didn't have the ability to cold crash, I'd probably use a muslin bag.

Yes, I am cold crashing. I dry hop in primary (currently doing 3 days), then transfer to a keg & cold crash in the keg. It gets transferred to a different keg for carbonation & serving...
