My basement has the most stable temp in the house, but it is 59F. Brewing the centennial blonde ale.

You will be fine. Nottingham is rated for 57° to 70°f.

The website data sheet says it can go as low as 57. So I don't see why not. I have used it as low as 62, with no problems.

I've done several experiments with Notty as its one of my favorite yeasts. It works great at 59...I like to ramp it up by wrapping a towel around it on the second/third day of fermentation.

I just fermented a Robust Porter using Nottingham dry ale yeast and the ambient air temp in my basement was 60F. The fermentation temp reached 68F for the first 2 days! 59/60F is the perfect air temp for Nottingham to work without producing high temp off flavors.
