i know this is a really stupid question but i'm new to brewing. i have those italian airlocks that look like an S if it was turned sideways. does there have to be water on both sides of the airlock or just one?talleymonster said:OOps.....I misread the question......sorry.
I guess you would be fine, providing you have a grip on your temps. An airlock is a one way valve, essentially....air goes out, not in. Just make sure to keep up on the water level in the airlock and you ought to be fine.
