OBK has this Regulator that can be used with Co2 Cartridges. Looks kinda cool, it just pops on an you screw the Co2 cartridge into it and set your PSI.

https://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PR-regulated-co2-charger&CartID=4

The site mentions 16g cartridges (maybe because that's all they sell?) but I'm wondering if this would work with larger ones like the 90g ones made for paintball guns. The description does say it works with "threaded Co2 Cartridges".

Can anyone confirm?

I'm trying to put together a simple Co2 setup for a friend who wants to dispense beer without all the hassle of a Co2 tank (taking up space, hoses, filling, etc). A 16g cartridge from my research can only dispense about 8 pints from a keg. I'm thinking a 90g one would be just about enough to dispense a whole keg.

Thoughts?

I bought this one last year https://www.williamsbrewing.com/25-GALLON-PARAMOUNT-KEGGING-SYSTEM-P4051.aspx and am very happy with it. It uses larger cartridges but you can get an adaptor to use 16 gram cartridges. I was able to run cleaning fluid, rinse water, sanitizer, force carb it, and dispense the first two pints with one 45 gram cartridge.

My question was if a 90g will fit, the site only mentiones 16g.

If it does fit it sounds like a 90g would be enough to dispense a full 5 gallon keg, by your experience.

You've got a lot of money...:D

Not really. A five keg, multiple tap kegerator, 50 pound CO2 tank setup would indicate I had a lot of money.
This unit fits my needs way better than a larger more expensive setup.
The only way I was able to get this unit was I got paid for an article I had published in Zymurgy and was able to splurge.
