For those of you who have built controllers with DIN Rail circuit breakers... do you cut a hole in the panel so the breaker sticks out (like a normal breaker panel), or leave it all enclosed - in which case you need to unscrew a panel to reset the breaker?

Personally, I find breaker trips - even GFCI breakers (with non-inductive loads) - to be rare enough that removing 4 screws isn't a big deal.

Cutting a big square hole would probably be more work for me... and ugly in the final product.

Opinions?

Use an enclosure with a hinged door and latch, and it becomes a non issue.

Brew on :mug:
I already have the aluminum box for the controller. Plus it's is cleaner and (imo) prettier than the load center hinged boxes. More like an audio amp or similar. Stamped, grey sheet metal isn't sexy. ;-)
