Has anyone ever tried aging on Mesquite wood vs oak or other woods? If so, what was the flavor profile like? Did it give any off flavors?
I recently came into this site that has more woods than I've seen previously, but still no Mesquite.

Thank you, in advance, to anyone who has experience with this & takes time to reply.
Happy meading 😎

I might get one of that red oak to add to the 2nd batch of Marshmallow Bochet in the stainless keg until my oak barrel with the first batch is ready to be bottled.
