Up next is a simple ESB recipe for me this weekend that will have 2 oz. of East Kent Goldings added within the last 15 minutes of the boil.
Out of curiosity I was wondering how much difference there would be between the following:

1/2 oz each @ 15, 10, 5, 0 minutes
vs.
1 oz each @ 15, 5 minutes

Too similar to matter, or would the first schedule offer more or less hop character?

Additions from 5 minutes down are aroma additions. I do flavor additions from 20 minutes down to about 10 minutes generally.
