It had been a while since my last batch of beer, and I didn't clean out the keg after it was finished. I just soaked the keg in Oxi Clean free for about a week while I was out of town. I'm not sure what the texture of the inside of the keg was before, but now it feels really rough. Did I leave the Oxi in too long and damage the metal?

Thanks.

I doubt you could damage the interior of the corny with oxi clean. I've let it sit for periods of time with zero issues. I would try soaking again with really hot water, then rinse

A lot of people have success with vinegar. A couple of cups and fill the rest with hot water.

No need to put more than a quart of 50/50 white vinegar and water in the keg (indeed you could likely get by with half of that). Close up the keg and swirl it around for a few minutes then flush and rinse well...

Cheers!
