I'm brewing a 10 gallon porter this Sunday, so I stopped at Northern Brewer today and picked up all my ingredients. I plan to split this into two 5 gallon batches- one with a Wyeast Scottish Ale and one with a US-05. The US-05 packet was left in my vehicle for about 3 hours in the sun . I'm guessing temps were breaching the upper 80's. Should I pitch this one and not worry or is it worth buying a new packet?

dry yeast is so cheap...

you could also use the hot packet to make a starter.
