I read that article on BYO about culturing from bottles and he said not to use it for that, and to use real yeast nutrient instead. Even the name of it keeps me from wanting to put in my beer.

I only use it when I decant the starter liquid and pitch only the yeast sediment. But yes, I also picked up the yeast nutrient (which probably has DP in it as well
) to use with my next starters.Kai
