Hey everyone I am on my first day of fermenting a 5 gallon yield of wheat beer. And On day 1 I noticed bubbling which is a good sign of course but some things may or may not be off. First was the inner piece of the 3 piece fermentor was crooked and lifted up due to bubbling and is that normal and two the smell coming from the fermentation process smelled maybe yeasty or a bit off? doesnt smell like rotten eggs but just a bit off and this is day 1. I am seeing a formation of that dark ring you would see during fermentation like on my 1 gallon yield too. am I doing things right for this?

Sounds like a pretty normal fermentation. Now put it in a nice dark area and ignore it for the next 2 to 3 weeks while the yeast does its magic and goes to sleep.
