Culturing yeast from your favorite beer?

I just cultured yeast from a Dogfish 120 minute. Drank most the bottle and dumped the rest into a starter on stirplate and stepped it up a couple times. Worked great. I used it to bottle a 15% ABV experimental brew with.
 
I have heard that some breweries actually protect their yeast strain by using a "bottling yeast" for carbonation. Just make sure your getting the "real" yeast from your fav. brew. Cheers!

Yeah I read somewhere that the dogfish 120 bottles with champagne yeast so thats what I used it for.
