I found some grapes that are being sold via craigslist:
Frontenac for $3/lb
Valiant for $2.5/lb
Are these good prices for grapes? I have never done grape wine before and if these are good prices i would like to try to make some. Also, how many pounds per gallon can a expect to need if i did get some?

Thanks in advance,

Chip

shoot....that is what i was afraid that it might be pretty expensive. I will email them and see if they are willing to negotiate on prices for buying in bulk. Thanks for the help.

I have signed up for Norton at $.75 per pound. If you look at San Francisco area C-list grapes, only shwanky pinot noir grapes top $2 per pound. Good luck getting a better price.

yeah...grapes in south dakota don't come too easily...i am still waiting for a reply from them, but no dice yet
