I got my hands on a carboy for free that has a rubber stopper inside the carboy. Looking for ideas on how to remove it other than breaking the carboy.

As in inside the neck or inside the body? If it is inside the body you may be in for an adventure, I'd suggest some sort of solution(acid?) to break it down or depending on how devoted you are, trying to cut it/rip it apart through the neck. Just keep in mind while you are doing anything that carboys are not so good at taking a beating, so be gentle.

2 videos on how to do it.

I couldn't pull up the videos that Jinx had suggested but there is a great one on youtube that shows a super easy and effective way of doing it with a plastic bag and some dish soap. Worked twice for me without a hitch!
