So I have been tinkering around with coopers real ale kits since they are pretty hearty and this is my latest one.
1 can coopers real ale
1 can of amber malt
1 1lb bag of French oak chips soaked in bourbon for 3 days
2 1 oz bag of glacier hops made into hop tea

So far it smells great what's been passing through the bubbler any thoughts or suggestions before it goes into the secondary?

Just make sure you hit FG before transferring to secondary onto the oak chips/bourbon. I want to try that with their dark ale, like the "whiskely" of old...:mug:

Did you really use a pound of oak chips, or an ounce? It's hard to believe you'd use $20 worth of oak chips when an ounce is all you need, but I thought I'd ask!
