i am ready to bottle tonight but am concerned that i should not bottle the beer at a cold temp. the beer is about 50 deg f.

You'll be OK. Those bottles will come to room temperature soon enough. If you're really nervous, give it an extra day to carbonate.

Yeah, don't worry so much about what temp you put the beer into bottles, just so long as you give them enough time to condition close to room temp. A good 2-3 weeks at around 70 will do just fine and even if you bottle at 50 they will come up to temp soon if stored in a 70 degree location.

i was mainly worried about the cold air in the bottle expanding but i dout it will be much
