Hey folks,

First time brewing an AG Pilsner. I did a multi - step mash at 122,144, and 162. I've now been recirculating the wort for about 45 minutes, and it's still opaque and cloudy...is this typical of a Pilsner mash? If not, what happened / how do I fix it?

Do an iodine test and if negative, then move on to your draining and boiling.

As for cloudy wort, it should have no impact on your final beer as long as you don't have a lot of remaining starches in the wort (thus the iodine test).

Whether or not it's "typical", I would say that it's not necessarily "typical" but should not be detrimental either.

Brew on!

edit: then again the term "cloudy" is relative. All wort it cloudy, some more than others. :D
