I brewed this a about a week ago, it came out very light. And I still have some of the grains left over so I was going to try it again. My question is.... The recipe called for 3.3 lbs of extra light dme, and 3.3 light lme.... I think (maybe) that the light extract maybe why it came out lighter? Could I be wrong.

The grains I used were:
12 oz 60 american crystal
8oz dark Munich
7oz roasted barley
6oz chocolate
4oz flaked oats
4oz flaked barley
4 oz rice hulls.

Anyone have a suggestion? Or pointers on how to make this stout turn out?
Thanks guys!

i assume by lefthand stout you mean the milk stout? there definitely should be some lactose in there too. other than that it does seem a little light on the dark malts, so that'd explain with it seems light (assuming u meant color wise). if you do give it another go, i'd use this recipe instead: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f68/left-hand-milk-stout-clone-139820/

0.6# DME = 0.75# LME = 1# pale to convert it to extract
