Has anyone tried this pumpkin ale from Cigar City?

Good Gourd Imperial Pumpkin Ale

Total Wine in Jacksonville had it in stock so I grabbed a bottle and it's chillin' in the fridge now. I'm a big fan of Cigar City and didn't even know they made a pumpkin ale until now.

They had Good Gourd on tap at another place we visited over the weekend... but I didn't like it as much as Pumking. It didn't have the pumpkin pie crust flavor or very much spice flavoring at all really. If you like very lightly spiced beers then this may be for you.

Oh well, guess I'll just wait patiently for Pumking to arrive.

Wow, wonder if they'll be pouring this at GABF. They were an awesome find for us last year with their Oatmeal Cookie Stout.

I can't believe no one has attempted to clone Good Gourd. I love this beer, hands down my favorite pumpkin. Anyone got any recipes that might be similar?
