Hello. We recently pressed about 100 gallons of cider to make mead and hard cider. That was a lot of work with our small press.
I was searching the web and found a product by a company called label peelers. It is a cider base. A 64oz jug of this concentrate makes 5 gallons of cider and the cost is close to buying apple juice from the store. Was wondering if any has used this product.

I haven't used that particular product but the base apples, Mac and Granny Smith, should give aromatics and a bit of acidity but pretty much no tannin. You might want to consider the British bittersweet apple cider concentrate available from the MoreBeer/MoreWine sites as part of a blend with the LP concentrate. That British bittersweet concentrate is made from Dabinett apples. A blend with 15 to 20% bittersweet would give the cider more structure. It's all about personal taste though.
