so SWMBO wanted a honey wheat a couple months back. seeing as I was going to spend about 15ish bucks on wheat malt by the pound, i went ahead and got a whole sack of it for about 30. So now i have a bunch of wheat malt to use up.

I was thinking of doing a chocolate wheat and using my counter top convection oven to roast some of the wheat to the point of being "chocolate wheat." Anyone have any experience with roasting their own grains, or any suggestions on formulating a recipe for a chocolate wheat?

Soak some in water for 1 hour, then toast at 350F for two stirring occasionally. It won't be as dark as chocolate wheat would normally be, but it will give you a sweet, toasty flavor. 1/2 - 1 lb per 5 gallons in any regular wheat recipe.
