I have been making wine now for about 5 years. About 6 months ago I became an expat and am living in Bogota Colombia. I brought some basic wine making supplies with me and since I have been here have made wine from mangos, guava, plums and skeeter pee from lemons and limes. But there are no grapes here to be found other than imported at about $3.50 a lb. @ 12 to 15 lbs of grapes to the gallon of juice its cost prohibitive and their not wine grapes.
Back in the states I could get wine grapes or Merlot juice from Chilean grapes for $55 a 6 gallon bucket.
Since I am much closer to the Chile than the USA I was hoping I could get a contact in Chile to ship me some grapes or juice.
Would anyone there have a contact in Chile? I sure miss my grape wines.:(
