Has anyone been able to find a place that sells the flanged outlets for a decent price? I have been able to find the plugs for around $10-20, but the outlets are $20+ for the 15 amp and $40+ for the 30A. That's a killer when you have $120 wrapped up in three outlets running the elements and main power supply.

this would be for a power supply though, not out to heating elements

or the best deal, 6 4wire 30a female flanged receptacles for ~60$ total (used though)

Definitely keep your eye on eBay and go for something standardized like the L14-30 that ryane suggested. I lucked out big time and got a pair of flanged receptacles (plastic body, and used) for about $20 shipped - but that was after a good amount of waiting and searching. Amazon wasn't too competitive last time I looked.

I got these...$27 shipped for a pair.

Snagged them up and got all my flange outlets now for about 75% off what I had listed in my BOM

Anyone using or can anyone comment on the suitability of something like these 4 pole speakon cable connectors in a brew panel application?

http://shop.willyselectronics.com/b...-speakon-female-cable-connector-/4,10505.html

http://shop.willyselectronics.com/b...akon-male-panel-mount-connector-/4,10504.html

• Current rating 40 Amp continuous, 50 Amp audio with 50% duty cycle
• Robust and durable all metal housing
• Sealing ring provides weatherproof IP54 rating
• Reinforces metal quick lock system for ease and precise locking
• Mates with all available Speakon products

There are also two pin connectors available.

I know they are designed for audio applications but with IP54 and 40amp ratings they look interesting.

These are very similar to the switchcraft connectors referred to above. (In fact, the switchcraft connectors are designed to be compatible with these)
