I'm trying to get all the items ordered needed to start making hard cider. I have two 1 gallon carboys that have a 1 inch inside diameter opening. I need to figure out which rubber stopper to get so i can put the airlocks on the bottles. Is there a certain number designator for each size carboy mouth or are they labeled by just size?

I use 6's for one gallon jugs. 6.5 will work but a little too loose for my comfort level. (That's what he said)

my preference is for the rubber cap rather than the stopper, they fit nice and tight, allow you to fill right to the top, and don't let any dust get in when you open them. i use either 35 or 40 mm cap for 5L flask
(esp is elderflower skeeter pee... delicious, on leftovers from elderflower wine... waiting for summer)
