I've made to batches of great beer now and am getting ready to bottle my third the problem I'm having is that the carbonation and clarity seem to vary from bottle to bottle some will be clowdy and have a nice head and retention to them and others are very clear and don't have a head at all is there something I'm doing wrong or some way I can get everything more the same

Did you stir the priming sugar in? It helps to do this. Just make sure you do not splash. I have forgot before and the carbonation was not consitent from bottle to bottle.

I use carb tabs...they are about $2 bucks for about 50 bottles worth...I get very consistent carbonation this way

I second this. I had the same issue and as soon as I started to slowly stir the sugar solution in, there was a better consistency from bottle to bottle.
