Howdy all,
Searched for a little bit and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
Have been interested in making mixed drinks to have on draft. I have successfully keg carbonated beers/seltzer/soda in the past. Have tried a small batch of whiskey/coke and a small batch of gin/tonic. Both attempts I got the mix cold as possible, and had up to about 30psi. Tried shaking/force carbonating, and tried letting it sit on the gas for days.
Both methods ended up a fail more or less. They seemed to be fully equalized on the gas, both gave a bit of a hiss when opened, both foamed a bit while poured. They both also seemed totally flat while drinking, as if no volums had been introduced unto solution.
Has anyone else played around with this? Any success?
Is there a way to carbonate liquor? Or am I fighting an un-winnable battle?
Be interested in any other tricks I might try to get this to work.
