Hello. I have a question concerning bottle carbing my beer. This is a big beer, og is 1.100. Last year I checked online and I was told to put 4.6oz of corn sugar in. I didn't get very good carbing. Did I not put enough in? I'm considering putting 5 1/2oz in this year. Does that sound right? Or should it be more/less? Thanks for any help.

5.5oz is fine, but the carb level depends on the style. You also have to account for temperature and SG. A beer of 1.100 SG finishing somewhere around 1.020 (?) is fairly high abv and will take a LONG time to carbonate.

This site has some nice charts and discussion:

Thanks. Just went there and looked around. Looks like a great resource. Saved it and I'm gonna print it out to put with the rest of my info. Thanks a lot!!:)
