Carb Stone Leaking

...where the barb meets the stone. It leaks out only at the union to from the stone so it did not aerate my wort correctly. This is a brand new, never used stone. I've only had one before, but was having issues with it so I got a new one, but this one sucks worse.
Are some stones better from other ones or buying them from other places?

There was another thread yesterday where the poster had the stone come off the flange. Maybe there's a really bad batch of them around lately.

So much for quality control! China, are you listening???
