My GFs dad is at the bar every night so he has access to a ton of bottles that we are going to reuse to put our brewed beer in. Is it possible to recap a twist off style bottle with a bottle capper?

Yes, I do so all the time. Granted my Canadian beer bottles are probably a bit
thicker than the one time use bottles it seems are so popular in the states.
Around here, most mainstream bottles are reused.
I use a bench capper.

I used to recycle the Shipyard bottle, which are capped but also have the threading on them. Some would work, some wouldn't. It can be done with an emily capper, but you have to get it perfect each time.
