Just like the title says.

I started a cider and forgot to add my pectic enzyme. It has been fermenting for 4 days now.

I just stated my first cider, and I too am wondering this. I'll be at 48hrs in primary when I can add it if I decide to.

From what I know, it's ideal to add the pectic enzyme 12 hours before you pitch your yeast. I've been told that it doesn't hurt to add it after this, but that it just won't be as clear as a final product. A lot of the clearing happens in the bottle too, so if you leave your bottles in a stable, cool environment for a while, then the enzyme will still be acting on the pectin.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, this is what I've been told
