So I brewed an American Pale Ale today and since I have a beer in my carboy, decided to use a bucket to ferment it. I've used buckets before but am not sure if that bucket will let in bad light? Will it? Should I cover it? It's fairly dark where I sit and want to ferment it in here where I can watch it bubble. Just wondering about light. Any thoughts??

I wouldn't worry about it. I use to put flashlights on the top of mine to see how close to the top it was. Put a large shirt or sweater on top if it makes you feel better but remember people ferment in carboys or better bottles and don't cover them. My lambic is in the laundry room currently and I'm not worried about it.
